DAILY PAINTING: Yesterday, Tropical Storm Colin came through, so no painting. But I made up for it today. I'm working both portraits simultaneously, pulling them together.

The compositions are still very active, so I've got to quiet them a bit (without losing what's good about them). Once I calm the backgrounds (and adjust for value), I can then finalize the figures themselves, which are still fairly loose, in keeping with the backgrounds. I will tighten up the figures and help them to better stand out from the backgrounds.
