DAILY PAINTING: "Paris Attacks" All of the world was deeply impacted by what happened in Paris, myself included, so I suppose I needed this month since the attack to try to begin to process what happened and what it means for us all. We all process things differently; for me as an artist, of course, I have to turn my thoughts and feelings into a painting.
This is a diptych, a single image spread across two panels. I haven't photographed the whole thing, since it's just in the formative stage. But you can see that I've begun with a collage of newspaper articles. I've sealed this so that I can paint on top of it. That's tomorrow's task.
