DAILY PAINTING: "be-YOU-t-ful" 10-19-15: Here's the 3rd & final oil study for this series. I realized that it IS a series--3 different but related compositions--rather than a tritych, which is 1 image spread over three panels. We artists have to work our way into a painting; as it develops, our subconscious mind offers suggestions. There are moments when we realize things, moments when the painting begins to take on a life of its own.

I had a moment like that on Saturday: I saw that there is to be a related piece--a big one--to this series. The related piece WILL be a triptych, a new composition, one image spread over three panels to be called "Billboard Beauty."
